 My Inspiration

A Special Moment

Radha Nanda born in 1946 in Kodagu – a serenely beautiful land of misty mountains and emerald valleys; the essence of which recurs constantly in my photographs.

I was guided by my father to aim at excellence in whatever the field of endeavour. After excelling in both sports and scholastics I graduated from the Women’s Christian College, Chennai,  with a Bachelors degree in Physics.

Took up photography as a hobby, which became a passion. I am an intuitive photographer consulting my feelings and emotions and use only natural light in a constant search for those beautiful, uplifting moments in time. The practice of Reiki over many years has honed my intuitive skills – helped me focus on the joyousness of living.

Photographed the historic buildings of Fort Cochin dating back to the Portuguese, Dutch and British eras. Documented the history of Fort Cochin.

Have done assignments for Inside-Outside, Swagath and Incredible India.

Experimented with multiple exposures created by mingling pale pastels of flowers with elements of the earth – images superimposed on a single frame on camera – not digitally manipulated.

In 1995 held a solo exhibition at the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore.

In 2004 held solo exhibition at TIME & SPACE Art Gallery – Bangalore
